Taylor Wessing Photo Portrait Prize Finalist
I was shortlisted as a finalist for the prestigious Taylor Wessing Photo Portrait Prize 2025, internationally regarded as one of the most distinguished awards in contemporary portrait photographyone.
Exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery, the selected image explores individual identity, connection, and the evolving nature of family lives. It reflects the way modern families can be layered and complex: blended yet deeply individual, shaped by heritage and lived experience, and ultimately bound not by uniformity but by connection. Rather than reinforcing simple definitions of “diversity,” the image invites a more intimate understanding — one that recognises nuance within families rather than labels between them.

Cultural & Literary Portraiture
Bestselling author Natalia de Barbaro invited me to create the portraits for her book Przędza, seeking imagery that would reflect her authenticity, depth and quiet strength.
Her writing — known for its insight into women’s inner lives and trusted by hundreds of thousands of readers — is deeply emotional and personal. The portraits were created with the same sensitivity, allowing space for presence rather than performance.
Working in close collaboration with the publisher, Wydawnictwo Agora, and the author herself, we developed a visual language that felt intimate and intentional.
The resulting portraits appeared on the book’s inside cover and throughout the launch campaign, offering readers a visual introduction to the writer and the themes of her work.
Personal Project - On Loss and Resilience
“When we lost our twins at 18 weeks, after several previous miscarriages, we were broken.
It was love — for each other, and from those around us — that carried us forward.”
This long-term portrait project explores infertility, miscarriage and the quiet strength required to continue hoping.
Through portraiture and testimony, it honours stories often held privately — bringing tenderness and dignity to experiences many families share but rarely speak about.
The project has been featured by The Daily Telegraph and published in Fertility Road, helping bring these deeply personal journeys into wider public conversation.
